The NZ Food and Grocery Council offers a practical training programme to help suppliers understand and comply with the Grocery Supply Code – get Code-Confident!
Our Programme

Understanding both the rules and the intent of the Grocery Code is essential for suppliers to negotiate confidently and compliantly – even while the Code is under review, compliance remains critical. Delivered through open and in-house workshops, the programme equips teams with the knowledge and tools to apply the Code confidently in day-to-day dealings.

We’ve designed a practical, case-based training programme to help suppliers get Code-smart. It’s tailored for all customer-facing roles – sales, marketing, category, and supply chain – and includes:

  • Open, virtual, and in-house workshops
  • Guidance on the Grocery Industry Competition Act and Code obligations
  • Real-world scenarios and supplier-retailer case studies
  • Advice on raising concerns and working constructively with the Code
