MENTAL HEALTH: Are you OK?

Coca-Cola Amatil has produced a great ‘how to’ toolkit on managers having mental health conversations with team members. It’s called ‘Are you OK?’ and offers three steps:

  • Recognise: Spot the signs – know what symptoms to look out for – physical, psychological, and behavioural. 
  • Act: have a conversation – choose a safe place and ask your team members ‘Are you ok?’ Understand what is supportive – Listen non-judgmentally and understand the issue from their perspective. 
  • Support: Work together for shared success. Collaborate to find solutions that work for both you and your team member.
