Second Diversity workshop popular
26 October 2016
FGC’s second workshop on Diversity in FMCG, held in Auckland today, was another well-attended event. The workshops are aimed at encouraging more women to take on higher FMCG leadership roles in New Zealand grocery.
This workshop was hosted by recruitment consultants Synergy Consumer, and attendees heard from successful consumer goods leaders company director Josette Prince, General Mills NZ Managing Director Karen Jenkins, as well as Synergy Consumer partner Sara Clarke.
Josette and Karen spoke about their career journeys and gave advice around the importance of backing yourself and parking self-doubt, which can become self-limiting, and about the importance of setting goals and assessing progress towards those goals on an annual basis.
Members interested in joining the Diversity mailing list are invited to contact the FGC office.
