Charity Ball raises $252,000 for Camp Quality
The 2014 Grocery Charity Ball raised $252,000 for Camp Quality New Zealand, a voluntary organisation dedicated to bringing fun, hope and happiness to children aged 5-16 years living with cancer.
The 2015 ball will be on Saturday 29 August at the Langham in Auckland.
The trustees have picked Autism NZ as the beneficiary. Money raised will go to an Autism Resource Centre where sufferers can access clinical diagnostic services and associated therapies.
FGC Chief Executive Katherine Rich said the $252,000 was a fantastic effort, and once again the Grocery Ball Trust and all attendees deserved a big pat on the back.
"It never ceases to amaze me how generous the industry is in getting behind this event year after year."
Organisers are now accepting expressions of interest, and members are advised to do this sooner rather than later, as this year’s ball sold out three months ahead of the event – the earliest all tickets have been snapped up.
