DB uses music to push message

DB has a cool take on promoting a responsible drinking message to young people. It has joined forces with a group of emerging Auckland urban artists and the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra (APO) to release a single with the message to drink responsibly.

The single ‘Remember a night, not a minute’ has been released by APO Remix the Orchestra, an award-winning programme that offers gifted young rappers and vocalists the opportunity to work with professional musicians and composers from the APO, as well as leading urban and hip-hop artists and producers.

DB approached APO Remix the Orchestra to collaborate on the single, which was released to coincide with global Enjoy Responsibly Day on 18 September.

DB says the programme has an innovative approach to addressing social issues through the power of music. “This is a truly unique partnership which allows us to work with the orchestra, hip hop musicians and a group of supremely talented young adults to share a really powerful message around the importance of drinking responsibly.”

They have also produced a music video of the Remix participants promoting the drink responsibly message in a house party environment.
