Seminar on certification for wood and paper products

A seminar on the global recognition of certified forests, wood, and paper products will be held in Auckland next Wednesday, 28 August. It will consist of presentations on the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC), a business view on certification, and an overview on the process to achieve certification.

This seminar, which is complimentary, will be held at the Sofitel, Viaduct Harbour, from 12pm to 4pm. Spaces are limited and registrations are being accepted now and for a few more days only.

Presenters will be:

Ben Gunneberg, Director-General of the PEFC Council, who will give a background on the certification scheme and address global growth and uptake of SFM and CoC certification, including the pending endorsement of CFCC, China’s National Certification Scheme.

Kayt Watts, International Consultant, Ingenue Consultancy Pty Ltd, who will provide a business view on certification, the difference between certifications schemes, SFM and legality.

Craig Brown, Marketing and Business Development Manager of TELARC, who will give an overview on the process to achieve certification, including cost, time, and resources, how to get started, and who to talk to for assistance.
