FGC and BusinessNZ present politics event
FGC and BusinessNZ are to present a first-of-its-kind event that is based around politics. It will be held in Wellington in May and has the working title of Food & Beverage Politics – Better Engagement with Government.
It’s targeted at consumer goods executives (MDs, government relations, corporate affairs) who want a good overview of all parliamentary processes and engaging with Wellington.
Planning is still in the early stages, but if this sounds like something for you, pencil May 18 and 19 into your diary.
BusinessNZ Chief Executive Phil O’Reilly and FGC’s Katherine Rich will both present. Following that will be experts presenting on the art of making submissions on legislation to Parliament, a meeting with a minister and a top MPI executive, a briefing from a member of the Parliamentary Press Gallery, and a Select Committee presentation and exercise (aimed at those who might be compelled to make an oral submission to a Select Committee).
Sandwiched somewhere in the middle are a few drinks at the famous Backbenchers bar followed by a dinner across at Parliament which will be attended by ministers and MPs.
Further details will follow as they are confirmed. Attendance is open to all FGC and BusinessNZ members, but because space will be limited we are urging you to make an expression of interest now. For more information email Kira Mikelatos at the FGC office: firstname.lastname@example.org
