
The “FGC Safe In-Store Pass” is an internet based Health & Safety training programme, providing a readily accessible and cost effective option; replacing several hours’ face-to-face training with less than one hour on-line.
This training format is available to all grocery suppliers, not just FGC Members, and has been developed with the support of Foodstuffs, Progressive Enterprises, Nargon, The Warehouse and ACC.
The “FGC Safe In-Store Pass” and the existing “Store Safe Passport“ will both be acceptable at store level as evidence of successful completion of the industry’s health & safety training. Each "FGC Safe In-Store Pass" is valid for four years at a cost per Pass of $45 plus GST plus $3 p&p (subject to regular review, the current price being the one shown on the registration/payments page at www.safeinstorepass.co.nz).
Given the accessibility of the on-line format, there should be no reason for non compliance.
The “FGC Safe In-store Pass” represents a major step forward in ensuring the safety of all working in the Food and Grocery industry. The FGC Board strongly urges your full support to ensure all of your staff are appropriately inducted and, specifically, to support this FGC-led initiative.
