FGC Conference 2015 filling fast

Time is fast running out for the last few available places for Conference 2015 in Sydney in November.

Latest speakers to be confirmed are Mark Weldon (former NZX CEO and the current CEO of Mediaworks), Barbara Chapman, CEO of ASB, and Peter McClure (former FGC Chair and former MD of Fonterra Brands).

Mark will talk about business and the outlook, Barbara will give us her view of corporate leadership and culture from the top of one of the big banks, and Peter will be sharing his wisdom and thoughts from over 30 years in FMCG.

Our top line-up of speakers is completed by those previously confirmed: The Warehouse CEO Mark Powell, Air NZ CEO Christopher Luxon, Foodstuffs NI Managing Director Chris Quin and Foodstuffs SI CEO Steve Anderson (accompanied by the Foodstuffs delegation, including Baden Ngan Kee and Steve Bayliss), Lance Dobson of Nielsen (presenting their customary and exclusive barometer on the marketplace), and Lindsay Mouat and Grant Hartley of the NZ Association of Advertisers. And let’s not forget our dinner speaker, comedian Jimeoin.

Again this year there will be specialist workshops from which delegates will have to choose: a Sales Director workshop with Marc Childs of Childs Davidson; Negotiation with Peter Huskins of Shopability; Crisis Management with Janet Wilson and Bill Ralston; and Export, focusing on the Aussie market.

Check the conference section of the website for details and the registration forms. Social programme packs have been sent to delegates. If you haven’t received one, please email the FGC office: Kira.Mikelatos@fgc.org.nz

Some extra special points to note for this year’s conference are:

  • the cocktail event for delegates and partners on the Wednesday night will be atop the iconic Sydney Tower
  • the conference dinner will be at the exquisite Doltone House, opposite Hyde Park
  • the FGC Golf Classic will be held at Moore Park Golf Course, one of the most popular courses in Australia. Further details are on the conference page.
